This Privacy Policy describes how DJ Tech9 (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, submit booking inquiries, shop merch, track orders, or use optional features such as virtual try-on. It applies to the Site and related APIs. See also our Terms & Conditions.

1. Who we are & scope

DJ Tech9 operates this website for promotional, booking, and merch purposes. We do not operate a logged-in user account system on the Site; most interactions are form-based or order-based. This policy does not cover third-party websites you reach through links (social profiles, payment apps, virtual try-on partners, etc.)—their policies apply there.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Booking inquiries: name, email, optional phone, event type, date, city/venue, estimated attendance, budget range, and message (via our booking wizard and /api/booking-inquiry).
  • Merch orders: cart contents (products, sizes, quantities), optional email and customer note, and order reference when our order system is enabled.
  • Order tracking: public order reference and, when required, email to verify lookup.
  • Support inquiries: email, optional PayPal transaction details, and message (legacy merch inquiry form).

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data: IP address, request timestamps, and basic server logs used for security and rate limiting (for example, limiting repeated API submissions per IP).
  • Device/browser data: standard HTTP headers supplied by your browser when loading pages and assets.

Information from third parties

Payment apps you choose (such as Venmo or PayPal) process payments outside our Site; we may receive confirmation details you provide or that appear in payment notes. If you use virtual try-on on the merch shop, our try-on partner may process images or device data—see Section 5.

We do not knowingly sell personal information for money.

3. Cookies & similar technologies

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, analytics pixels, or similar tracking for marketing on the Site. You will not see a cookie-consent banner for ad tracking because we do not run that type of collection.

We may use:

  • Essential / functional storage — for example, saving your merch bag in your browser’s local storage so your cart persists during your visit;
  • Security and operations — short-lived server-side rate limiting and standard request logs;
  • Third-party try-on (optional) — if you open virtual try-on on the merch shop, the try-on partner may set cookies or similar technologies under their own policy.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking functional storage may affect cart behavior. California residents can exercise privacy rights described in Section 7; we do not sell personal information, so a separate “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” control is not required for our current practices.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Respond to booking and support inquiries;
  • Create, fulfill, and track merch orders;
  • Send operational emails to our team through our email delivery provider when configured;
  • Prevent spam, abuse, and fraud (honeypot fields and rate limits);
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

5. Sharing & service providers

We may share information with trusted service providers that process data on our behalf to operate the Site. We describe them by role, not as a public list of our internal tools:

  • Hosting & infrastructure — to serve pages, APIs, and static assets;
  • Database / order storage — to create and look up merch orders when that feature is enabled;
  • Email delivery — to send booking and support notifications to our team;
  • Virtual try-on partner — when you choose try-on on the merch shop (governed by their privacy policy);
  • Typography / content delivery — your browser may load fonts or assets from a CDN;
  • Payment processors — Venmo, PayPal, or similar apps when you pay outside the Site.

Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. We share only what is reasonably needed for that service. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

6. Retention & deletion

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Merch order records may be automatically deleted after defined periods—for example, old shipped orders, abandoned unpaid checkouts, or cancelled orders—via scheduled maintenance jobs. Paid and packed orders are retained for fulfillment. After deletion, order tracking on the Site may no longer work.

Booking and inquiry emails stored in our mail systems follow our email provider’s retention. Server rate-limit data is held in memory for short windows and is not intended as a long-term database.

7. California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you may have the following rights, subject to applicable law and exceptions:

  • Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
  • Right to delete personal information we hold about you, with certain exceptions;
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell personal information for money);
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information where applicable;
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

To submit a request, contact us using the details in Section 12. We may verify your request (for example, by confirming the email used on an order or inquiry). You may designate an authorized agent where permitted by law. California residents may also contact the California Attorney General with complaints.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use strong, unique credentials on third-party payment apps and avoid sharing order references publicly.

9. Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. International users

The Site is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand that information may be processed in the U.S. and other locations where our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Site after updates constitutes notice of the revised policy.
